When you create an account or use Dayli, we may collect:

• Authentication information (via Google, Apple, or email login)
• Any information you provide when contacting us for support or feedback

b. Contact Sync (Optional)

If you choose to sync contacts from your device (currently supported on iOS), we may collect:

• Contact names
• Phone numbers

Important notes:

• Contact syncing is entirely optional
• You can choose which contacts to sync
• You may opt out at any time
• We use contact information only to identify which of your contacts are already on Dayli and enable connections

By syncing contacts, you confirm that you have the right to share this information.

c. Video Calls

Dayli enables one-minute daily video calls between users.

• We do not record, store, or analyze video or audio content
• Calls are transmitted in real time only
• Dayli does not use AI or automated systems to process call content

d. Automatically Collected Information

When you use Dayli, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• IP address (used only for basic functionality and security)
• Usage data (e.g., feature usage, crash logs)

This information is used for app stability, analytics, and improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and maintain the Dayli Service
• Enable contact-based connections
• Facilitate daily video calls
• Improve app performance and reliability
• Respond to user support requests
• Ensure safety, security, and integrity of the Service

We do not sell your personal data and do not use your data for advertising.

4. Screenshots & External Recording

Dayli does not record video calls. However:

• Other users may use external tools (e.g., screen recording)
• Dayli is not responsible for content recorded or shared by users outside the app

We encourage users to be mindful of what they share during live calls.

5. Your Choices & Controls

You can:

• Access or update your account information
• Opt in or out of contact syncing
• Remove previously synced contacts
• Request account deletion by contacting founders@dayli.social

Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data unless retention is required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data:

• While your account is active
• Or until you request deletion

We may retain anonymized or aggregated data (which cannot identify you) for analytics and product improvement.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Dayli is intended for users 13 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

Dayli may be offered in a beta or early-access form. Features, data usage, and functionality may change as we improve the Service. We will update this Privacy Policy as needed.
